What is Deep Week?
Deep Week is a one-of-a-kind experience! There is no other event like this in the world! It is the world's premier Freediving Education Event and the worlds largest freediving festival.
Deep Week brings the world’s best best freediving instructors and freediving athletes and experts to one spectacular place for a week of diving, learning and self exploration.
A whole week where we can share knowledge and improve our diving!
The training at Deep Week is suitable for all levels.
We get many absolute beginners joining the event all the way up to freediving instructors wanting to up skill and freediving competitors seeking to improve their knowledge and technique.
No other freediving camp is able to offer this level of experience and expertise… Or fun! Join the Freediving Family and learn to dive safely while you make new friends from all over the world.

Kalamata boasts some of the best diving conditions in the world, especially while we will be there in October. Last year the water was +25c and the air temp was +27c with +25m of vis and no current or surface movement.

7 Time World Record Holder and current World Record Holder in Bifins and owner of Kalamata Freedivers will be joining us to lead workshops and teach you all about how she trains to break national and world records!

The Workshops
Every day our instructors will hold a variety of workshops on different freediving topics.
You are welcome to attend as many or as few activities as you like and choose which workshops to attend based on your interests.
We have some of the best freedivers and athletes joining us and sharing their knowledge so you wont want to miss out.

The Activities
During Deep Week, we will dive every day. Saturday is your Rest Day and there are great options of things to do outside of the water (details in the event guide coming soon!)
We will also hold pool sessions, static sessions and all the Wave theory sessions needed to complete your course.
You are also welcome to attend morning yoga and evening visualization sessions!
Deep Week is choose your own adventure! You’re welcome to all the activities and free to do as much or as little as you like.

Accommodation and getting around in Kalamata
Getting around on foot is pretty easy and so is renting a taxi! Pedal bikes are also a great way to get around and there are a few places that rent so just search around online!
It's worth mentioning that there are a wide range of accommodations. in the area but we recommend booking your accommodation as close to the Elite City Resort as possible. This will be our main workshop and meeting area during the week.
In order to make sure that you are around for all Deep Week activities, we encourage you to arrive on the 29th of September at latest (as we will dive the morning of the 30th) and then dont leave until the 8th of October as we will have our after party the night of the 7th!
The Venue
Elite City Resort will be our main space in where we will run the event. It offers newly renovated rooms, a variety of activities beyond the water, a restaurant and spa/pampering services!
They also have a great pool for us to take over as well as beach access for us to get picked up every morning to head out to dive!
We encourage you to book directly through them either through the button below or via email at info@elite.com.gr as they are able to have more flexibility with pricing that way.
The prices for the rooms are:
Single room €70,00 per night
Double room €90,00 per night
The above prices include breakfast but not the accommodation tax per room per night.

Getting There
Kalamata has an international airport with regular domestic flights from Athens. You can also take a bus from Athens as it’s just a 2 and a half hour drive from the Athens International Airport. As we get closer to the event, our Facebook chat will start discussing when people are arriving and many of you will be able to group together and share buses. Nothing like a good road trip through the beautiful mountains of Greece to get the party started!

If you want to have a week of line training, workshops, pool sessions and meet amazing people, then yes!
It doesn’t matter which is your freediving level. In Deep Week we have students that range from beginner to advanced. You can take a Wave Course during the week or just join us for training and the experience itself. -
All of our courses are Molchanovs Courses.

Your partner is welcome to join you and participate in our morning yoga, meditation or afternoon meditation sessions. They can visit town while you’re out in the water!

The price includes all workshops, training and certification costs. Staff, set-up and facilities to run the event are covered by your ticket.
Deep Week does not include accommodation, travel expenses, visa fees, COVID tests, meals or gear hire.

For any circumstances that prevent you from coming to the event, we offer to transfer your payment (deposit or full payment) to a future event in 2023 if you give us at least 30 days notice before the start of the event.
